Kelly Coughlin
Kelly Coughlin is a self-taught figurative painter living and working in the Nashville area. Her work speaks from the female perspective - exploring motherhood, community, and the quiet power of women’s lived experience.
Her paintings are pulled from dreams, memories, and imagination, making each piece both deeply personal and universally resonant. In this way, her work is a constant reflection and representation of herself - evolving as she does, holding the tender and complex truths of what it means to inhabit a woman’s body and mind.
Kelly creates commissioned paintings for private collectors, as well as large-scale murals and branding collateral for commercial clients, with a specialty in hospitality spaces. After 15 years working as a Sommelier and fine-dining manager, she brings an insider’s understanding of how art functions in these environments - not as decoration, but as a defining feature of the guest experience.
Whether painting for a collector’s home or a restaurant’s walls, her work is characterized by emotional depth, the female gaze, and an ability to transform spaces into environments that feel deeply meaningful.
